If you read this blog, follow me on Instagram, or know me IRL, you know: I LOVE DENIM. I find it to be one of the most beautiful fabrics of all time. The versatility of construction as well as the possibilities for aging have made it a consistent choice by fashion insiders and regular humans alike for years.
I was as afraid of the denim tuxedo as the next girl a few years ago, believe me. But, this was before I understood how to make it work. There are a few ways you can approach denim on denim to really pull it off. The first surefire way is by mixing washes: go with a lighter wash on top and a darker wash on the bottom, or vice-versa. The second way is by mixing up the fabrics: a jean on the bottom in a thick denim with a lighter chambray top also works well without making you look like you stepped out of a western.
Having said all of this, fashion is about self expression! While I went for option number two for this look, you can wear denim on denim any way you would like! How do you denim tuxedo?
