We arrived in Miami around 7pm and checked into our hostel just as the night was beginning for many people. We were exhausted, so we just decided to find food and then turn in so that we could get an early start in the morning.
We walked around the city in search of some food and some nighttime glimpses of that classic Miami art-deco architecture.
We ended up eating at the iconic 11th Street Diner. The food was good, environment fun, and Guy Fieri was there (kind of).
We spent most of the next day walking around the Miami and South Beach areas, taking pictures and exploring.
Blue skies and general green-ness are abundant in Miami, which was SUCH a welcome change from the rainy and cloudy weather I’d been experiencing in Indy.
Pictured above is my new Gucci smart-cart. Yes, cart.
If you’re ever in Miami, La Sandwicherie has great food that’s also very well priced.
Later that night we went to the Coral Castle. It’s a long story, so read about it here. Thanks Wikipedia! Basically, if offbeat and funky attractions appeal to you, go here. It’s worth it.
Sorry for the picture heavy post, but I figured those were easier to enjoy than having to read mountains of text.
