Sunburnt Style

Yummy milkshakes, tropical backdrops, and homemade salsa are abound at this fruit stand in Florida City. Called “Robert is Here” the stand has been around for over 50 years. At the age of six, Robert’s father would leave him on the corner of this intersection in the morning with a basket of fruit to sell. Little six year old Robert wasn’t very noticeable on his corner, so his father made a sign with a large arrow pointing down that said “ROBERT IS HERE”. His business continued to grow and is now a full blown farm and fruit stand, known for their fruit milkshakes. I tried the key lime milkshake which I do recommend.

Found my Indiana roots at the fruit stand. We used to cut out photos of these Farmall tractors to make into magnets for her.

My photographer insisted I share this shot with my friend the rooster. I guess I wasn’t into it.

I was very very sunburnt that day so in order to minimize further damage I decided to wear my hat.

While there I realized that Birkenstocks are like the perfect vacation shoe, the epitome of casual ease but also style.
