Kate and I attended day 1 of Bunbury Music Festival a couple of weeks ago in Cincinnati. It was a beautiful day with great music and awesome company. This entry is more about the experience, but if you would like to know more about the music check back on Sunday or click here!
The venue for the concert is right across the river from Kentucky, which makes it a really photogenic place to be.
I ate macaroni and cheese with spicy honey chicken on top. It was really good but honestly way too hot for the weather outside.
Kate and I both wore some super throwback shoes for the day. Sauconys and Tevas are soon 90s but very comfortable. Kate’s Tevas aren’t even new, she got them in sixth grade.
That day just so happened to be National Donut Day. Luckily there was a donut stand with AMAZING freshly made mini donuts. You could pick your toppings and all, so I chose a strawberry chocolate mixture.
Festival essentials: tiny backpack, camera, extra batteries for camera and phone, comfy shoes, and DONUTS.
Found the cutest little shop selling their woodcut works. They speak the truth, what else is there to be said?
Chaco had a setup for a virtual vacation to Hawaii. It was so cool! The lenses moved with your head and it actually felt like you were there.
Kate’s goal for the day was to see The Killers, so mission accomplished. They were fabulous as always. Brandon Flowers was my favorite human my eighth grade year so it’s nice to go to throwback concerts.
Overall a great day full of great great concerts.
