My sister’s first job was scooping poo at a dog hotel. When she decided that wasn’t something she wanted to continue doing, she started working at Locally Grown Gardens in Broad Ripple.
The whole place is super fun and cute, with a lot of fun produce and kitschy items to purchase. They also have prepared food for sale, which you can enjoy out front on one of the larger than life picnic tables.
There’s a helpful chart up at the top for those who don’t know what fruit or vegetable is in season when (aka me).
Although most everything there either tastes good or looks good, they’re most famous for their pie. We had a couple slices of apple. The waitress who brought it to us was so cute!
Here’s to more pie and Broad Ripple nights with the people I love.
