Sweaters have always been somewhat of an enigma in my closet. In that, I own them but I’m not sure quite what to do with them. Realistically, they present very few options in terms of rotating in a wardrobe. You can wear them in only a few different ways before they become repetitive. With a normal t-shirt or shirt I’m able to layer on top with a blazer, jacket, sweater, anything, allowing for more options. Sweaters don’t typically offer this type of flexibility. From a practical packing standpoint, they also take up loads more room in a suitcase, soooooo I really have to choose between 3 sweaters or 9 shirts that could fit into that same space.

This is one of the two knit pullovers that I own. It’s from Free People, I basically stole it from Macy’s ($30 for Free People? That’s criminal) and it’s insanely impractical. It’s not a classic cut, it has giant sleeves that don’t fit into most jackets and coats, and it has to be worn pretty much every time with the same thermal underneath.

THAT BEING SAID. I love it. It’s warm, comforting, and reminds me of shopping days with my momma. Even though I’m typically wearing it very much in the same way whenever it goes over my head, I really don’t mind. And if it’s going to be one of the two pullovers I own, then I’m okay with that.

I usually pair it with distressed skinny or boyfriend jeans. This time, it was with my ever trusty Levi’s.

dsc_0201For accessories I went with Adidas, some socks from & Other Stories, and my little Kanken.
