Beer, beer, and guess what? More beer.Em and I rolled out of bed at 8am on our second day in Dublin in order to head to the Guinness Storehouse for our tour. We were among the first people there, so it wasn’t too busy. We spent about an hour or so walking through the storehouse, learning about the brewing process and the history of the company.
We had a little tasting of the beer in these little shot glasses, as well as a beer to end the tour (included in the ticket price!).
After the Guinness Factory we headed to Christ Church Cathedral. It was a gorgeous church, but it didn’t feel symmetric. No matter where I stood, I felt like something was off, and it bothered me endlessly in trying to photograph the place.
This cat and rat were found in an organ pipe, practically mummified, presumably having died during a chase. I found it mostly hilarious. Slightly disturbing.
We finished off the day with a lovely walk around the Temple Bar area and then a dinner at Lott’s Cafe Bar. I had AMAZING bangers and mash that pretty much changed my life.
Thanks for reading! Check back next Wednesday for the next installment in this lil series about Dublin.
