Guys. It should be known by now. If I’m wearing clothing it’s probably denim and on the bottom it’s probably Levi’s. In Indy I could never find a good pair of 501s but since being in Paris it’s been so easy to find them. I think when I looked when I was younger, I looked specifically for a pair that fit absolutely perfectly, when in reality they do need to be altered a little bit. Now, I focus on finding a pair that fit well in the waist and large hip and then alter the legs from there. Then I have the fitted waist and the fitted leg that I want, not a bootcut like the original 501. That’s exactly how I tackled this pair, my first pair of Levi’s, still going strong.
I went with a vintage Ralph Lauren linen off the shoulder top for my upper half. This one was my grandma’s, such a great piece with embroidery and balloon sleeves. It works as a tunic as well, I just tucked it in because a 501 isn’t a 501 without showing off that waist!
Of course for shoes I went with comfort as usual with my Frye clogs. They’re beginning to have that lived in look and I’m so happy. Why buy shoes and not wear them? I love an item that’s been loved.
