The title of this post is actually a total sike because it’s not a jacket, it’s a kimono! If you know me, you know my love for the kimono runs deep. A garment rooted in tradition, one that tells a story, is always going to be of interest to me.
The kimono shape, specifically the boxy torso and sleeve shapes, have really been popular the past couple of years and it’s easy to see why. They’re the perfect thing to throw on on top of an outfit in the summer, mostly because the lightweight fabrics they tend to made of are usually breathable. This allows them to be comfy in a hotter climate, while still offering some coverage.
This lovely number is vintage and real silk, which adds even more to the climate adjustability. I paired it with some Levi’s, a bodysuit, and some espadrilles.
