The seventies were such a great style decade. Along with the sixties and nineties, the seventies are one of my favorites. Whenever I find street style photos, editorials, or illustrations from that era, I’m always especially drawn to the colors. In my daily life, I wear mostly neutrals because it’s much easier to mix and match a few base colors instead of trying to deal with all of the colors in the rainbow. When I found this dress in a vintage store in Indy a few summers ago, I was drawn to it because it seemed like a good mix of neutrals and color. Anchored in a base of black, the color comes in on the edges of the attached belt as well as in the embroidery on the top. I felt it was the perfect dress for a day spent on the Greek island of Santorini.
The rest of the look was simple, comfort was my biggest concern for this 28 hour adventure. I went with my Supergas, a Levi’s denim jacket, and my Madewell Backpack.
