Summer Classics: The Wedge Sandal

Ciao BBs! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a bit, I’ve had a full couple of weeks packing up my apartment and traveling back to the states. I’ve been home for about 5 days and I’m so happy to be back. Aside from some fashion culture shock, life is good! For the summer, I’ll be writing one style post and one other post per week. With working and all that good stuff, I have a full schedule for the next few months.

Coming back has been great because there are a few gems I’ve been rediscovering in my closet. These See by Chloe wedges fall into the forgotten and found category! I didn’t take them to Paris because it’s quite difficult to walk in wedges on cobblestone, but having them on my feet again makes me want to take them back with me for the fall semester.

For this look, I went pretty classic because I wanted the shoes to be the focus on the outfit.

For the base of the outfit I went with old jeans and a muscle tee. The ones from Rag & Bone are so expensive but soon comfy. When I find them for good sale prices I usually try and go for it. This one is almost 3 years old now and still makes appearances in my outfits on the regular.

For accessories I went with my Maje M bag. The black suede makes it super easy to pair with lots of outfits, but my favorite pairing will always be some form of denim and other black pieces.

Last but not least the focal point of the outfit, my See by Chloe wedges. There were purchase my junior year of high school from The Real Real. They were completely unworn and still in the box. My quest for a classic wedge led me to them, but I was sold on the unusual espadrille sole. The leather and metalwork are a little more urban than beachy which is always my preference.

Thanks for reading the first in the summer classics series! Check back next week for the next summer classic: the sundress.
